The Sketchbook Project 2018

The Sketchbook Project is something I've participated in since 2011. Just recently, I finished up my 2018 SBP and sent it, making the April 30th deadline. This project is organized by the Brooklyn Art Library and is described as: "The Sketchbook Project is a crowd-sourced library of over 40,000 sketchbooks (and counting) from 135+ countries worldwide. Anyone can make a book of their own to add to the collection.

I'm also adding photos of various pages from the six sketchbooks I've completed over the years to my website. I've completed adding my photos to the Sketchbook Project 2018 page. Follow that link and once you get there, click on any photo for a larger view. You'll be able to easily scroll through the photos with the side arrow too!

The main page I created for the Sketchbook Project is here. I've added more about this project and I'm setting up links to photos of all the sketchbooks I've done (editing is in progress!). I did create an animoto video of my SBP 2018 -it's a slideshow video with music, featuring almost all the photos I took before I sent the 2018 sketchbook off. https://youtu.be/o5hIsjT_lO8

This is the 6th Sketchbook Project I have completed! I started with SBP 2011, & also participated in SBP 2012, SBP Limited Edition 2012, SBP 2014 and SBP 2015. My sketchbooks have been digitized - you can view them here: https://www.sketchbookproject.com/collections/108 This SBP was inspired by underwater photos my husband took.

I hope you are all well! It's taken me longer to get back here to post than I anticipated . . . but adding to my blog is still in my sights. I enjoy doing it and I love keeping a record of my art and my life. Speaking of which, my husband has hip replacement surgery scheduled for Wednesday, 5/9. Keep him in your thoughts! He is looking forward to it, especially to relieve the pain and discomfort he is going through now. He is a trooper, but I know he can't wait for that relief! ❤

When you go through a hard period,
When everything seems to oppose you,
When you feel you cannot even bear one more minute,
NEVER GIVE UP!
Because it is the time and place that the course will divert!

Hope to be here again soon! ❤ lenna
