Two icads, six 3x3's and one anniversary!

The fern that I borrowed for an ICAD (index card a day)

I went for a walk in a local park yesterday - I had missed going because I had not been there for some time. I brought my camera with me as I knew I would probably be inspired by the texture and the colors, not to mention the magnificence of the tall trees. After I took this photo I thought to myself, I must bring just one Fern home, to nature print with! So this was my Index card for ICAD on June 10th.

On June 9th I did a collage for my index card, using parts of a mini Constitution of the United States and a list of things Steven wrote :o) It also includes old papers I painted and follows the weekly theme of Collage.

I am happily humming along with ICAD - find out more about it here. A wonderful creative challenge/not a competition! I like it because it spurs me along to do more art, or definitely at least do something creative!

The other creativity project I am doing this year is a 365 project. I do this in a different way, not arting every single day, but aiming for 365 creative things done by Dec 31st 2019. I just added six 3”x 3” cards to the mix, #156-161. They started as watercolor cards with watercolor crayons, like this:

After spritzing with water, adding more crayon and a bit of Lindy’s gang shimmer stardust spray . . .

Very fun to play & experiment. I enjoy this size a lot!

June 11, 2005 - Steve & Lenna are married!

June 11, 2005 - Steve & Lenna are married!

Lastly, today is our 14th wedding anniversary! Here we are at our wedding back in 2005, wearing hand stamped wedding attire. I made my dress because I could not find anything store-bought that was “me”. When I stamped the fabric for it, we got the idea I could stamp the back of Steve’s vest in our moon & star theme. :o) I was 48 years old when Steve & I got married, but we had known each other since I was 15. It is a lovely, romantic story, which I have written and shared here on my website. It’s a second marriage for both of us . . . .and I am so grateful and so happy we found our way back to our friendship and then a very quick tumble to love & marriage! Here’s to our great match and to Steve for teaching me how to balance and fight and love all at the same time! ❤ Happy Anniversary, Steven.
